As a massive Modest Mouse fan I was skeptical when I read people comparing The Guru to them. They have a similar lo-fi rocker vibe to early MM but are way dancier and way less serious (as far as lyrical content). The main similarity is between the vocalists, especially when they're screaming. That said, this band definitely has its own sound and this album is worth more than a few listens. BionicGiblet

Perfectly encapsulates the teenage experience. Finding this album while still young and in high school was the best decision I've made in quite awhile. charlesjr

Oh my lord, Old Gray is absolutely perfect. The first track is the obvious highlight of this EP and it's in my opinion their best track ever. Thanks for the amazing music and feelings <3 Alex Jesus
